We ask for as little information as possible, and we protect what you share with us.
Information we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us through the contact form or the story submission form: your name or display name, email address, optional phone number, your message or story, and any photo you choose to upload.
How we use it
Information is used solely to respond to your message, review a story submission, and communicate with you about it. Email addresses submitted with stories are never displayed publicly.
Story submissions
Story submissions are reviewed by the foundation and are never published automatically. You may submit anonymously, and you may ask us to remove your story at any time.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. Donations are processed entirely by PayPal on PayPal's own website under PayPal's privacy policy. This website never collects or stores card or bank information, and we do not receive it.
Website analytics
We keep a simple private count of page views using only the page address and a random per-visit id that is cleared when you close the tab. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand general website use. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect general, non-identifying information such as pages viewed, approximate location by region, device and browser type, referring website, and time on page. We never send form contents, stories, comments, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or donation details to Google Analytics.
Your choices about tracking
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's private or do-not-track mode, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking analytics does not limit your use of this website in any way.
